Rink History

Rainbow Roller Rink was built in 1949 by Herbert and Ella Bale and is still family owned and operated by their grandson Maurice Cooper. Rainbow Rink has been a popular recreation spot in North Tonawanda and enjoyed by western New Yorkers for over 60 years. Mr. Bale started a figure skating club all those years ago and it is still going today, now coached by Maurice Cooper and his son, Mo Cooper, 2007 medalist at the World Skating Championship in Gold Coast, Australia.

Most of the figure skaters started in a beginner skating class and some skated on to became National Skating Champions. The best part of this family business has beenwatching generations of the same family grow up and enjoy this recreational activity together.

Rainbow Roller Rink Rainbow Rink is a family-owned and operated skating and entertainment center located in North Tonawanda, New York.  We provide children and families across Western New York with skating and party facilities.
